A loved Italian recipe, especially by kids, Chocolate and Strawberry Panna Cotta is a refreshing dessert perfect for hot summer days. Its silky texture and explosion of flavors from the chocolate and fresh strawberries transform every spoonful into a moment of joy.
Ingredients
- 6g gelatin sheets
- 300ml fresh cream from Lăptăria cu Caimac
- 200ml milk chocolate from Lăptăria cu Caimac
- 50g sugar
- 1 teaspoon culinary lavender
- 300g frozen strawberries
- 80g sugar
- juice from ½ orange
Garnish:
- fresh strawberries
- leaves of mint
Preparation
- Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water
- In a small pot, mix together the fresh cream and milk chocolate. Add the sugar and culinary lavender. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it simmers, but not boiling.
- Remove the pot from the heat and add the soaked and squeezed gelatin sheets. Stir until dissolved.
- 4. Cover the pot with a lid and let the mixture infuse for 5 minutes. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher. Let the mixture cool before pouring it into the panna cotta molds/glasses.
- Refrigerate the molds/glasses for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Meanwhile, prepare the strawberry sauce.
- In a small pot, combine the frozen strawberries, orange juice, and sugar. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the strawberries soften. Puree the mixture with a blender or food processor until smooth.
- Once the panna cotta has set in the refrigerator, spoon 3-4 tablespoons of the strawberry sauce over each mold/glass.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint leaves
Tips:
You can use any seasonal fruits or large pieces of chocolate for decoration.
